The need to bring the real estate community and state and local policymakers together to tackle the housing affordability crisis has never been greater. Housing affordability is front of mind for Americans and it will only get worse as multifamily construction starts decline in response to tighter lending conditions.

More than half of U.S. renters pay more than 30% of their income for rent and utilities, with nearly half of those people paying more than 50% of their income. Without a meaningful increase in new multifamily housing production, and specifically new affordable housing, rents will continue to increase and residents will find themselves with limited housing options.

Flourish Living seeks to play a role in increasing multifamily housing production by partnering state and local policymakers to design and implement affordable housing incentives to drive affordable housing creation and preservation.
